Patriots Add Three To Practice Squad
Carter was originally signed by the Denver Broncos as a rookie free agent in 2009. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Florida State product appeared in three games for the Broncos with one start. The rest of the time he was on Denver's practice squad. The Broncos waived him August 30th.
Miller was originally signed by the Baltimore Ravens as a rookie free agent in May 2010. The 5-foot-8, 198-pound Georgia product reportedly wanted to join the Patriots rather than re-sign with Baltimore according to Aaron Wilson of Ravens Insider at Scout.com. The Ravens released him as part of their final roster cuts on September 5th.
McKenzie returns to the Patriots after being released by the team on September 5th. The 6-foot-2, 245-pound South Florida product was originally selected by New England in the third round (97th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. He spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Mastrud was signed by the Patriots this past weekend. The 6-foot-6, 253-pound Kansas State product was originally signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on April 26th.
