Patriots Add More Beef To O-Line

The Patriots have signed former Colts offensive lineman Jamey Richard according to sources.

As noted earlier here (link) the New England Patriots have agreed to terms with free agent offensive lineman Jamey Richard.  Terms of the deal were not available.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound lineman was a seventh round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2008 NFL Draft.  The former University of Buffalo player is a local product from Weston, CT.

As an OG/C Richard has the versatility to play multiple positions along the offensive line, a trait teams like the Patriots put a priority on. He has appeared in 48 games with 11 starts in his four year career.

Richard was one of three offensive linemen the Patriots brought in for a visit earlier in the week.
