Percy Harvin was back to being a practice observer Wednesday morning, but he got some support from Adrian Peterson, who said he’d like to see Harvin stay with the Vikings.

Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin was back to watching the walk-through practice Wednesday morning, less than 24 hours after comments saying he was unhappy with some unspecified issues with the Minnesota Vikings then requesting a trade.
Harvin also watched Tuesday’s morning walk-through before his comments, then practiced during the full afternoon practice.
On Wednesday, several coaches approached Harvin briefly during practice, including head coach Leslie Frazier, special teams coach Mike Priefer and receivers coach George Stewart while Harvin watched teammates go through practice.
Harvin and players hustled off the opposite side of the practice field before media had a chance to get their comments on the situation.
Running back Adrian Peterson did conduct his scheduled post-practice press conference and said he would talk to Harvin to find out what issues were bothering him.
“It’s like, ‘We definitely don’t want to lose this guy.’” Peterson said. “I’m sure the organization will do what it has to do to keep this guy around. If it was me, I would make sure that we kept him around. But we’ll see.”
Peterson said he found out about Harvin’s unhappiness while laying bed Tuesday night but hadn’t discussed the situation with him yet on Wednesday morning.
“Yeah, I’m definitely going to talk to him. In any way I can help him, give him advice, I’ll do that,” Peterson said. “But first I have to sit down and talk to him and see what’s bothering him. But ultimately, we’re grown men, so I’m sure he’s going to do what his mind is set. I’ll feel like, personally, things will work out fine. I think it’ll be OK.”
