The Official Patriots website is providing additional information on the signing.
Wolfork, the 21st pick in the 2004 NFL draft, is only the second first round draft choice to sign so far. The first being, Jason Babin, selected as the 27th pick overall by the Houston Texans.
Wolfork who will be teamed up with fellow defensive linemen Richard Seymour,
Ty Warren and Dan Klecko will make for a solid young core for the Patriots defense
this year
Add to that mix Keith Traylor, who was signed as a free agent to replace perennial
run stopper Ted Washington, who signed on with Oakland to play for new head
coach Norv Turner
Look for more signings soon as the team gets closer to training camp, which is set to open July 29th
