PATRIOTS REPORT: Training Camp Opens
Ben Watson in high gear

Posted Jul 30, 2005

The New England Patriots opened camp yesterday without one of their key defenders who didn’t have a medical reason to sit out. Richard Seymour was indeed a no-show on Day one of training camp. While there was a palpable buzz surrounding the start of camp, the somber tone echoed by veterans who will miss one of their own, Ted Johnson die to retirement, weighed heavy on most minds.
