PATRIOT REPORT: Training Camp Opens

Day One was full of few surprises although some would categorize it as a regular day at camp. News filtered in regarding Ted Johnson's decision to retire due to health concerns. Camp was full of drills and a throng of media looking for any exclusive piece of info they could dig up on the happenings around Foxboro.
Morning sessions we're sloppy at times, with a number of dropped passes, overthrows, fumbles and false starts in team drills.
We'll have a complete Day one recap later today providing details on positional drills, players' comments and some of the particulars of what we observed.
Comings and Goings
The team announced the signing of wide receiver Eugene Baker and the release of reserve offensive guard Bryan Anderson. In addition the team picked up wide receiver Rich Musinski.
Players placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list:
OG. Bryan Anderson; LB, Tedy Bruschi; WR, Tim Dwight; RB/KR Chad Morton; WR, Bethel Johsnon.
Non-football injury list additons:
DL, Ethan Kelly.
