BREAKING: Patriots Release Three Veterans

The New England Patriots have announced the release of
three players from their roster. Among those names is veteran signal caller Rohan Davey. The text of the release can be found below.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots released
quarterback Rohan Davey, running back Cedric Cobbs and safety Dexter Reid today.
Davey, 27, was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round (117th
overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft. In three seasons in New England, the 6-foot-2-inch,
245-pound signal caller played in seven games and completed eight-of-19 passes
for 88 yards. The Louisiana State product played in NFL Europe in the spring of
2004, where he was named the 2004 NFL Europe League Offensive Player of the Year
and led the Berlin Thunder to the World Bowl XII championship. That season, he
led the league with 19 touchdown passes and a 105.9 passer rating, while starting
all 11 games and leading Berlin to a 10-1 record.
