Law's Return Not So Special

Ty Law covers Deion Branch

Former New England Patriot Ty Law was surprisingly low-key when he made his return to Foxborough. Law signed a free agent contract with the New York Jets after being released by the Patriots in the offseason. His return turned out to be more hype than fireworks. Law missed portions of the game to rest his injury, allowing some of the Jets other players a chance to show their stuff. Coach Herman Edwards liked some of what he saw in the young DBs.

After all the hype, cornerback Ty Law's return to New England was pretty uneventful.Five tackles, no pass breakups, no interceptions, no penalties."It was cool. It wasn't something I had circled on my calendar like I was going to anticipate it," Law said. "I've been a New York Jet for quite some time now.
