OT Jeff Roehl

The New England Patriots, blessed with a bevy of talented young lineman, parted ways with second-year offensive tackle Jeff Roehl today. A reserve lineman with the Patriots, Roehl never saw live action in New England. His limited experience came as a member of the New York Giants in 2003 where he played in 12 games, starting in two.

The New England Patriots released offensive tackle Jeff Roehl today. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound reserve lineman was added to the Patriots roster in January of 2005, before being released and re-signed by the team in January of 2006.

Roehl, a three-year starter at Northwestern, originally signed as a rookie free agent with the New York Giants in 2003. He was released by New York in 2004 then spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, and eventually the Patriots.

A longshot to make the Patriots' final roster, Roehl was allocated to NFL Europe League's Amsterdam Admirals this past season.
