Poteat has been on and off the Patriots roster multiple times since the 2004 season when he joined the team during it's postseason run. Part of the final round of roster cuts in 2006, Poteat re-joined the Patriots September 27th, and played in the game against Cincinnati recording 2 tackles and one pass defensed. Poteat also saw limited action against the Miami Dolphins yesterday, managing one additional tackle.
Sullivan was a former first-round pick of the new Orleans Saints in the 2003 NFL Draft (6th overall). The Patriots acquired him June 5, 2006 via a trade with New Orleans. Sullivan went to the Patriots in exchange for WR Bethel Johnson. After a shaky start to his time with New England, Sullivan appeared to help himself as training camp wound down. He only saw action in one regular season game for the Patriots.
