After the decision to make running back Corey Dillon a former Patriot, New England has their attention focused on his replacement. New England is one of three teams to express interest.

Scout.com has learned free agent RB Sammy Morris (Dolphins) has drawn interest from the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs and one other team.

Morris has done a nice job in a backup role the past few seasons and also is one of the NFL's best special teams players.

UPDATE: 9:02pm Morris visited the Patriots on Friday, but there was no immediate news of a deal. According to Adam Caplan, senior NFL reporter for Scout.com, there is nothing immediately pending for the free agent at this time.
