Patriots and Chargers Inactives for the game on Sunday. Biggest change to the list is Patriots offensive guard Stephen Neal (Pictured) who was replaced by Billy Yates.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

S Rashad Baker; LB Corey Mays; G Stephen Neal; T Wesley Britt; TE David Thomas; DL Kareem Brown; DL Mike Wright; QB Matt Gutierrez (Third quarterback)

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS

CB Paul Oliver; FB Andrew Pinnock; LB Anthony Waters; T Roman Oben; TE Scott Chandler; WR Eric Parker; DL Brandon McKinney; QB Charlie Whitehurst (Third quarterback)

Quick Take: With Stephen Neal out, Russ Hochstein and Billy Yates are the primary backups. Hochstein had injury issues heading into the regular season. If he can't go, then Yates -- a fourth year pro with 3 starts -- will get the call.

Rookie DT Kareem Brown still isn't ready to take over for the more experienced Le Kevin Smith and Santonio Thomas. Wright is out again with a knee issue, so the line is especially thin without Brown.

Baker hasn't been a factor on the Patriots defense since training camp, so his absence with hand injury was expected.

Britt will be replaced by Ryan O'Callaghan, the other reserve offensive tackle. O'Callaghan comes in for the Patriots on jumbo packages

TE David Thomas needs at least another week to recover from a foot injury that kept him out through the entire preseason and the season opener against New York
