Harrison has missed the first four games of the year due to a suspension for violation of the NFL's banned substance policy. Harrison admitted to possessing Human Growth Hormone (HGH) in a Federal probe into distribution of banned substances. Ia a Mea Culpa, Harrison admitted to the NFL Commissioner that he did accept the drugs, but in no way wanted to use illegal substances like steroids
On Wednesday, Harrison reflected on the issue, but declined to give more specifics from his earlier comments.
"There is really no reason for me to continue to elaborate on the past. " Harrison said. "I said what I felt. I'm a better man because of it. I'm a better person. Hopefully, I'll be a better football player. I just look forward to getting my life and getting everything back on track and just moving forward."
Head coach Bill Belichick offered that Harrison is back in the mix for playing time this week.
"Rodney has done well," Belichick said on Friday. "He's been pretty involved in everything, kind of like he usually is. He has a lot of energy back out there. We'll keep going here day-to-day and keep adding a little bit more."
Marcellus Rivers signed a two-year deal according to a league source. The possibility that Rivers will rejoins the team after the game is a viable option.
