Free agent linebacker Zach Thomas of the Miami Dolphins is schedules to visit Foxborough on Monday according to a repoort by the Boston Globe. Thomas was relased by the Dolphins last week in a cap cutting move.
The 5-foot-11, 235-pound linebacker played in just 5 games for the Dolphins in 2007 due to injury. Thomas suffered a concussion, and was later involved in a car accident after the game. The 12-year veteran suffered migranes, and was placed on injured reserve in early December.
Thomas, who has said he'd be willing to entertain offers to play elswhere, even for an AFC East rival like teh Jets or the Patriots, has drawn considerable attentoin. Thomas' agent Drew Rosenhaus has reportedly fielded calls from the Saints, Colts and Cowboys, while the Jets, Patriots, Bills and Chargers are also interested.
Thomas has led the Dolphins in tackles consistently. He holds five of the top six franchise records for most tackles in a single season
Before signing a contract, Thomas would first have to pass medical exams by the doctors of any team interested in signing him.
