Signings
The New England Patriots signed three rookies and a trio of free agents this
week. In addiction to finalizing deals Monday with third round Draft picks Kevin O'Connell and Shawn Crable, the Patriots signed second round pick Terrence Wheatley
on Tuesday. The addition of Wheatley leaves only first round pick Jerod Mayo
the only unsigned Draft pick.
In adidition to the rookies, the Patriots added veteran free agent offensive
lineman Anthony Clement. Cleement, a 10-year veteran, joins the Patriots after
spending the past two seasons as the starting right tackle for the New York Jets.
Also agreeing to terms were rookie free agent wide receiver Chris Dunlap and
rookie free agent offensive lineman Lavdrum Buata.
Dunlap was with the Patriots in training camp last year.
Buata was out of football last season after finishing his college career at
Villanova.
Training Camp Opens
The Patriots open training camp on Thursday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
Practices are open to the Public. Thursday's schedule includes a morning and
evening session.
