Patriots Activate Lineman From PUP

FOXBORO -- The New England Patriots activated offensive lineman Ryan Wendell from the team's Physically Unable to Perform list Thursday.

Ryan Wendell was removed from the Patriots PUP list on Thursday, clearing the way for him to participate in the team's training camp. Originally signed by New England as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Fresno State on May 2nd, Wendell has participated in the team's offseason activities.

Wendell was a four year starter at Fresno State. The 6-foot-2, 275-pound offensive lineman earned All-WAC honors in 2006 and 07. He was part of a Bulldog line that helped Fresno state's offense average 38 points per game in 2004 and 39.9 points per game in 2005.
