The Patriots have added yet another member to their coaching staff, Toledo assistant Patrick Graham. A report from the Toledo Blade indicated that Graham resigned his newly accepted position at Toledo to join New England.
Graham had agreed to join University of Toledo football coach Tim Beckman's staff a month ago. Prior to accepting the job at Toledo, Graham had spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Notre Dame where former Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis is the Irish' head coach.
The Patriots confirmed the Graham hiring on Tuesday. The Waterbury, CT native joins a Patriots staff that has seen four departures from the coaching staff; Dom Capers (secondary/special assistant), Brad Seely (special teams), Josh McDaniels (Offensive coordinator/ quarterbacks) and Pete Mangurian (tight ends).
The Patriots have not announced which position Graham will be appointed to. He was hired to coach the defensive line at Toledo. Currently Pepper Johnson coaches the Patriots defensive line while Matt Patricia coaches the linebackers.
