Tim Tebow recently met with the Patriots and could be a Draft target of New England. With three second round picks, it's almost a given Bill Belichick would use one to select the talented leader from Florida.

Former Florida Gators QB Tim Tebow has been one of the most talked-about prospects in this year's upcoming draft, from where he'll get picked to whether or not his new throwing motion will translate to success in the NFL.

The Patriots worked Tebow in Florida recently, along with a number of other Florida Draft prospects. According to a recent report in the Boston Herald, Belichick and director of player personnel Nick Caserio, wined and dined the multi-talented phenom in Boston this week. So far, head coach Bill Belichick likes what he sees.

"Great career, great player," Belichick said.

"I think it's obvious that in the last six weeks, his mechanics, he's worked on them and they've improved, which is a credit to him. He's very coachable and he works very hard. I'm sure that whatever he feels he needs to do, he'll work very hard at, whatever that is."

New England has been connected to Tebow throughout the offseason. Mock Draft experts predict Belichick's connection to the Florida program will once again temp the Patriots' leader to calling another former Florida player's name on Draft day. Belichick's widely publicized friendship with Gators coach Urban Meyer has been the fuel for the fire.

Though there remains a strong connection between Meyer and Belichick, Former Gators selected by New England in the Draft had hardly any impact on the roster. WR Chad Jackson and DL Jeremy Mincey were both highly touted Florida products who saw their stock plummet in the NFL. Both players have struggled to remain in the league since leaving Foxboro, calling into question New England's true commitment to selecting more Florida products.

Though no other players from Meyer's program have been Drafted by the Patriots since the Jackson/Mincey year, New England remains connected to Florida prospects. Last year, the Patriots flirted with the idea of selecting multi-talented former Gator WR/RB Percy Harvin. That lasted until Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress grabbed Harvin one spot of the Patriots' slotted pick (23). New England then opted to trade down (twice) in the first round, eventually landing Brandon Tate, who New England hopes can help so some of the things Harvin did for Minnesota.

Still, the Florida pipeline continues to be a topic of discussion, with Tebow representing the best possibility for another Florida to Foxboro connection. LB Brandon Spikes, TE Aaron Hernandez and DE Carlos Dunlop are a few of the other Gators' Draft hopefuls reportedly drawing interest from New England.

Belichick isn't the only AFC East coach to find Tebow's skill set to be desirable. Tebow recently met with the Buffalo Bills in one of his Pre-Draft visits. He had dinner with Hall of Fame QB Jim Kelly according to Kelly's wife's twitter account.

The Bills, are just one of eight teams reportedly interested in taking Tebow early in the Draft despite questions about his potential as a starting QB at the next level. Peter King of Sports Illustrated believes Buffalo is serious about their interest in Tebow.

"Not to set off any alarm bells in Buffalo or anything, but Buddy Nix really likes Tim Tebow," King wrote via Twitter.

Buffalo is considering a new quarterback after investing a third round pick on Trent Edwards just a few short years ago. Edwards was picked to succeed former first round bust J.P. Losman who washed out of the NFL after being jettisoned by Buffalo.

Perhaps it's Tebow's willingness to play any position despite the criticism that ,makes him so attractive.

Wherever Tebow lands, one thing is certain, he's going to do whatever it takes to make a roster, and he's going to draw a lot of interest.
