Big plays are supposed to happen for the the Patriots not against them. The 2005 season hasn't exactly played out that way, with New England giving up large chunks of yardage to opponents from special teams. The kick coverage unit has been exceptionally porous allowing opponents excellent starting field position. The team knows this has to change if they expect to beat the good teams. One player who's taken exception to the poor play is Larry Izzo, the special teams captain.
