| Ty Law possesses average size and speed for a cornerback. He had been amazingly durable throughout his career, until suffering a broken foot in the 2004 season. He could be the ultimate coverage cornerback in the game today, though he is not the fastest and quickest player at the position. Utilizing his very good physical strength, technique, Law has displayed throughout his career to being as prepared and intelligent as any player at the position today. His coverage ability in man-to-man and zone are as solid as any player in recent memory. Law utilizes tremendous recognition skills to take chances, consistently making big plays while a member of the New England Patriots, something which many other good cornerbacks cannot claim. Law plays the ball extremely well in the air and has the closing ability when beaten. If healthy, Law can be expected to remain one of the top cornerbacks in the game today. |
