Biography:
The Vikings signed Moreland to their practice squad on Sept. 8, 2004. The Patriots added him to the Practice squad and eventually activated him after incurring injuries to their starting secondary (Ty Law and Tyrone Poole). Moreland has spent time with the Jets, the Vikings, the Browns and now the Patriots. Career: Played in nine games with two starts at cornerback since being signed off the practice squad to the active roster on Nov. 6, 2004. Made his first NFL start at cornerback vs Buffalo Bills (11/14/04). Was forced into action again at St. Louis (11/07/04)... Made his first NFL start at cornerback and finished with two tackles. Started again at cornerback in the Patriots’ 27-19 Monday Night game vs the Kansas City Chiefs. Saw extensive action in the second half at cornerback in the second game vs the Dolphins.
