2001: He appeared in nine of Arkansas’ 11 contests, didn’t play against Georgia and Weber State after suffering a hamstring injury on Sept. 23. He was named first-team preseason All-SEC by the league media, Blue Ribbon, Lindy’s and The Sporting News and Named to the Doak Walker Award Watch List. He scored game-winning touchdowns in the final 90 seconds of both the UNLV and Mississippi State contests and was the second leading scorer (42 points) on the team behind place-kicker Brennan O’Donohoe.
2000: He was a preseason Doak Walker Award candidate and a consensus preseason All-SEC running back. His second season as a Razorback was cut short when he separated his right shoulder in the third game against Alabama. He underwent surgery the following week and spent the rest of the fall in rehabilitation. Despite missing eight games, he still ranked third on the UA season rushing list. He rushed for a career-high 174 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries against Boise State, which ranks 18th on the UA single-game rushing yardage list.
1999: He posted the best rushing performance ever by a Razorback freshman. He rushed for a team-leading 668 yards on just 116 carries despite splitting time with senior Chrys Chukwuma. His all-purpose yardage total of 1,056 was the second-highest ever by a Hog freshman and just 13 yards short of Gary Anderson’s total during his freshman campaign of 1979. He became the first Razorback in 16 years to score touchdowns rushing, receiving and on a kickoff return in the same season. His 53-yarder was the longest run by a freshman at Arkansas since 1979.
