Drafted by the Patriots in the fifth round of the 2003 NFL Draft (164th overall).
Personal:
Born Daniel Koppen September 12, 1979, the son of Kathleen and Michael Koppen. Hometown Dubuque, Iowa. Attended Whitehall (Pa.) High School where he earned accolades as All-State, All-Area and All-East Penn Conference first-team honors including Prep Star All-American nomination. Played both offensive line and defensive end. Koppen also participated in track and basketball lettering in both. Was a management major at Boston College.
