How Acquired:
Signed by the New England Patriots as an unrestricted free agent November 1, 2005. Was released by the Dolphins October 24, 2005.
(2005): Miami Dolphins:
Played in six games for the Dolphins starting two of them. He managed one rushing attempt for no gain while grabbing 4 receptions for 17 yards. Released by the Dolphin sas “part of a numbers game” according to his coach Nick Saban.
(2001 – 2004): Seattle Seahawks: 2004: Played in 15 games, with no starts. He gained 20 yards on seven rushing attempts and totaled 12 more yards in 2 pass receptions, played mostly on special teams, and managed to return three kickoffs. 2003: Saw action in 14 games predominately on special teams. Also saw time at fullback and limited action at running back. His offensive playing time allowed him to gain 24 yards on 7 attempts, and 34 yards on 2 pass receptions. 2002: Saw action in all 16 games. A fullback, Evans also saw limited action at running back, gaining 53 yards on 17 carries. Accompanied with eight receptions for 41 He plays on most special teams units. 2001: Played in all 16 games, managing five tackles on special teams.
College: Auburn
Managed to amass 626 yards on 149 carries with 6 TDs rushing and 354 yards, one TD in 30 receptions. Made a name for himself blocking for Rudi Johnson and earned Player of the Game honors versus Northern Illinois. Named Offensive Player of the Game versus Alabama with a five carry 55-yard performance. Redshirted as a freshman.
