2006 - Washington:
How Acquired: Signed by the Redskins as an unrestricted free agent.
2005 - New England:
How Acquired: Signed by the Patriots as an unrestricted free agent on
March 22, 2002. Originally drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round
of the 1995 NFL draft (39th overall).
Scouting Report: Solid pass catcher demonstrating excellent hands, can
make the tough catch in traffic. Fair to good blocker using experience and
leverage. Will not overpower opponents, but use finesse to create space. More of
a receivng threat than a blocking tight end.
Personal: Born Christian Fauria, September 22, 1971 in Northridge, Calif.
Attended Crespi High School (Encino, Calif.), was team captain and most valuable
player as a senior as a tight end, also played linebacker. Earning most valuable
player honors in basketball only season he lpayed. Lettering in three sports
including track. Went to the university of Colorado where he majored in
communications. Married to Rhonda with two children, daughter Riley and son
Caleb.
2002 - New England:
Fauria signed with the Patriots in 2002 after spending seven seasons with the
Seattle Seahawks.
Starting 73-games for Seahawks, Fauria recorded 166 catches for 1,683 yards and
seven touchdowns.
Fauria leaves the Seahawks as their all-time leader in yardage and receptions as
a tight-end.
