Not a polished player. Lacks mass and upper body strength. Small boned. Felt he gots muscled and tied up on blocks on the inside. Good laterally moving down the line and hustle on the backside. Will flash initial qicks & exploreness. Smart and experienced, but is very much an over achiever. Journeyman college player with a limited chance to play. Has 7th round or Priority Free Agent potential.

Biography:
2006: Started all 12 games at defensive end. Gilberry was one of the leaders on the Crimson Tide defense with 10 tackles for a loss, three sacks and 10 quarterback hurries. He recorded 39 tackles with 21 solo stops to lead the defensive line. He also finished with one pass breakup and one forced fumble. He recorded three or more tackles in nine of the 12 games and had at least one quarterback hurry in eight games. He played 516 total snaps, the most of any defensive lineman. He had 40 or more snaps in eight of the 12 games. He had his best game in the final regular season game against Auburn with five tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks and one quarterback hurry.

2005: A 12-game starter at left defensive end, Wallace closed the season with 37 tackles, 10 stops behind the line for 37 yards, 1.5 sacks for 12 yards and six quarterback pressures.

2004: Playing in every game, Wallace had some eye-popping stats on the season. He was the team leader with 13 stops behind the line (50 yards) and 6.5 sacks (44 yards) as he finished with 28 tackles. He also had seven quarterback pressures, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

2003: Redshirted.

High School: Gilberry was a standout defensive end in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game. He played his prep football at Baldwin County High School. In his junior season, Gilberry played primarily tight end where he started the last seven games. As a senior at defensive end, he made 61 solo tackles, 16 assists, seven sacks, seven tackles for losses, and deflected six passes. He also caused two fumbles, recovering both. Gilberry was timed at 4.60 in the 40-yard dash. He bench pressed 275 pounds, squatted 530 and dead lifted 525. He stole the show in the Alabama/Mississippi All Star game (six tackles, two sacks) where he attracted major attention. He was signed in August and became Mike Shula's first signee. The Alabama All-Stars dominated for most of the second half, but Mississippi had one last chance when an interception and return gave them the football at the Alabama 10 yard line with just over a minute to play. But Gilberry proceeded to sack the Mississippi quarterback for a 14-yard loss, helping to seal the win for his squad.

Personal: The son of Sharon Gilberry-Williams and Clayton Williams, Wallace has two brothers, Allen and Alden and two sisters, Les'Lee and Lillian. Born 12-5-84. He is a Telecommunications and Film major.
