| Drafted in the second round (#53) by the Cleveland Browns on April 28, 2007. Cleveland traded their third-round choice (#67), fourth-round choice (#103) and sixth-round choice (#178) to the Dallas Cowboys for the 53rd overall choice, and the Cowboys sixth-round draft choice (#195). The Browns desperately needed a cornerback. Wright had first-round talent, but
he was knocked down on some boards because of an arrest on suspicion of rape
while at USC. He could step in immediately as a starter at right cornerback. The
Browns need one because Gary Baxter is still rehabbing from tearing both
patellar tendons |
