How Acquired: Signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the New England Patriots May 2, 2008.

An unselfish player and well-versed student-athlete ... Agreed to utilize a redshirt season in 2005 to increase body weight and muscle mass in the strength and conditioning program - resulting in an addition of 40+ pounds to his tall frame … Earned top billing as the unit's starting tackle in 2007 after handling guard play during the majority of 2006 (after previously serving as a tight end) …In all, started 26 contests during ECU career ... Ranked among the nation's top 60 offensive linemen by Phil Steel Magazine … Rated among C-USA's top 10 NFL talent according to Lindy's National College Football Magazine.

2007: A second-team All-Conference USA selection by league coaches ... Also named to 2007 C-USA All-Academic Team ... Started all 10 games played (5 at left tackle; 5 at right tackle) ... Named offensive captain for the season ... Recorded 32 knockdowns in 474 plays from scrimmage ... Helped pave way for Chris Johnson's 301-yard (second-best in school history) and four rushing TD performance … Closed out career with start No. 26 and logged three knockdowns during Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl win ... Keyed line that helped offensive unit rack up 476 yards against Broncos.

2006: Selected to both All-Conference USA squads (second-team by media, third-team by head coaches) ... Started all 13 games on the right side of the offensive line (first 11 at guard, two at tackle vs. N.C. State and USF) ... Recorded a line-best 61.0 knockdowns in a line-best 886 plays from scrimmage ... An anchor on a line that produced three 100-yard rushers, five 100-yard receivers and 3,024 passing yards - ECU's highest total in 14 years (since 1992) and third-best all-time … Recipient of unit's "Crunch Award" for biggest hit ... vs. USF (12/23): Credited with five knockdown blocks in Papajohns.com Bowl action, opening his second consecutive game at the tackle slot.

2005: Redshirted … In addition to strength development, spent full season sharpening familiarity with new offensive system … Officially made move from tight end position to offensive line during spring workouts … Actually opened campaign on the two-deep as the reserve right tackle behind starter Chris Sellers but coaches were able to keep him on the sidelines for the entire season.

2004: Struggled through disappointing season as a reserve tight end, experiencing limited playing time with brief stints in 10 games after productive freshman season a year earlier … Did not record any statistics (receptions, etc…) … Did not play against Memphis … Lost early starting standing after the arrival of a pair of junior college transfers and the move of Guy Whimper to the offensive side of the ball during mid-season.

2003: Earned selection to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team ... Played in only eight games but made four starts, including contests against Big East Conference foes West Virginia and Miami (Fla.) ... Sustained an injury prior to the Houston game which kept him out of the lineup for the next four games ... Caught four passes for 48 yards ... Longest reception of the season was a 23-yarder in collegiate debut at Cincinnati ... Also had a 17-yard grab against West Virginia at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
