SENIOR (2005) Started all 11 games at CB...finished the season 10th in the nation in passes defended with 14 in 11 games...he spearheaded a UB secondary that ranked ninth in the nation and led the Mid-American Conference in pass defense, allowing just 173.6 yards per game through the air...Williams finished third on the team with 61 tackles, giving him 258 for his career...this season he became UB’s career leader in passes defended with 39 and his 176 solo tackles rank fifth best in school history.
JUNIOR (2004) Shifted from safety to start all 11 games at cornerback, ranking 10th in the MAC with 0.91 passes defended per game…his 10 total passes defended led UB…lockdown corner on a pass defense that ranked third in the MAC, allowing an average of only 213.5 yard per game…was third on the Bulls with 73 total tackles and second with 50 solo tackles…recorded nine tackles versus Syracuse (9/11) and at Connecticut (11/20), and had eight in games versus Central Florida (10/2), Miami (10/16) and Kent State (11/6)…team-high six tackles at Ohio (9/25)…tallied six solo tackles against both Syracuse and Central Michigan (11/13)…was credited with three passes defended at Nevada (9/18), tying his career single-game high.
SOPHOMORE (2003) Had an excellent year, playing and starting 10 of 12 games and ranking second on the team in tackles with 81 (including 53 solo stops)...also led the team in interceptions with two and passes defended with nine...had career-best 10 tackles on three occasions...had 10 tackles vs. Colgate (9/13), at UCF (10/4), including a tackle for loss, and vs. Northern Illinois (11/8), where he also added two pass breakups and an interception...had seven tackles and broke up a pass vs. Akron (9/27)...had nine tackles, recovered a fumble, recorded a half-sack and broke up a pass in win over Ohio (10/25)...had six tackles and returned an interception 47 yards at Toledo (11/1)...had nine tackles and broke up a pass at nationally-ranked Iowa (9/6)...recovered a fumble at Kent State (11/22) in season finale.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2002) Had a breakout campaign, playing in all 12 games and starting six games at strong safety and finishing seventh on the team in tackles with 43 (28 solos)...had a litany of big plays, including four tackles for loss, a sack, an interception, five passes defended, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble...after playing sparingly the first three weeks, had huge game at Big Ten’s Minnesota (9/21), racking up season-best nine tackles, adding first career sack and making two tackles for loss...had key interception in win at Rutgers (9/7)...had four tackles and a fumble recovery versus Western Michigan (10/5)...forced a fumble at Ohio (9/28)...had two pass breakups versus Miami (10/19)...had six tackles and broke up a pass versus Central Florida (11/9).
FRESHMAN (2001) Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL An All-Detroit North and All-Oakland County selection, he rushed for 1,246 yards rushing and eight touchdowns to help the Warriors to the Division II state championship as a senior...also returned a kickoff for a score for head coach Al Fracassa...an All-County and All-Detroit North selection as a senior...also earned two letters in track.
