DB Kyle Arrington was promoted from the Patriots practice squad to the 53-man roster the team announced. He takes the spot left vacant when OL Kendall Simmons was released.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound defender was on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad in 2008 and the start of 2009. After being released by the Buccaneers active roster in early September, the Patriots added Arrington to their practice squad a week later.

(2009) New England Patriots; Signed to the Patriots practice squad after a tryout the week before.

(2008-09) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Was a member of the Buccaneers practice squad, signed to the active roster prior to the Buccaneers’ season-opener against Dallas. He made his NFL debut against the Cowboys on special teams. Waived on September 14, 2009.

(2007-08) Philadelphia Eagles: Originally signed by Philadelphia as a rookie free agent out of Hofstra in 2007.
