Jones Looking to Learn from Gronkowski (Providence Journal)
Newly signed tight end Justin Jones hopes to learn from a player he's watched throughout his career.
"I've been learning from Gronk since I was in high school, man. He was great at Arizona, I watched him there," said Jones. "He's a great athlete, a great tight end…I've been definitely in the film room and checking in on what's going on with him all the time. He's the best tight end in the league, so I can't wait to learn as much as I can from him."
The 6-foot-8 East Carolina tight end brings both athleticism and size to the team, potentially taking a much-needed tight end spot on the roster. Due to academic reasons, Jones sat out his final college season, however, recorded 52 catches for 598 yards with 12 touchdowns in his three years at ECU.
